On December 19, 1983, the company Belgo-Mineira opened an entire division dedicated to the cumputing.

EARLY COMPUTERS
At the beginning of its activities, the primary computers were an IBM 4341 with 2MB of memory and an IBM 4318 with 32MB of memory.

NEW HEADQUARTERS
With business growth, the company moved to modern installations throughout building nº1654 from Avenida Brasil, in Belo Horizonte.

EXPANSION IN BRAZIL
Initiated a growth process aimed not only at serving the Group's companies but also external clients.

BRASILSAT SATELLITE
BMS solidified its position as one of the largest IT companies in Minas Gerais and the 6th data processing service bureau in Brazil. In its activities, even used the satellite Brasilsat to transmit data.

COMPUTER GRAPHICS
BMS added graphics computing services to its solution portfolio.

PES LAUNCH
Under a more modern perspective of management and service, the Excellence in Services Program (PES) was launched, focusing on total quality and customer service.

SAP IMPLEMENTATION
A milestone revolutionized the company's way of thinking about IT business: the partnership with the German company SAP, creator of SAP integrated management software.

‘MILLENNIUM BUG’
Towards the end of the 90s, the company established a ‘Software Factory' focused on researching solutions and changes to programs to avoid potential system failures when transitioning from '99 to '00.

ARCELORMITTAL SISTEMAS IS BORN
With Belgo-Mineira's acquisition by the ArcelorMittal Group's, the company ceased serving external clients, focusing on the group's demands.

ITIL IMPLEMENTATION
Implemented ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) to enhance IT governance and process management.

INTEGRATION OF WORLDWIDE OPERATIONS
Through an IT Steering Committee involving executives from the Group worldwide, projects were initiated to unify the Group's IT in South and Central Americas.

INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION
Following successful operations in South and Central Americas, the company gradually expanded to Mexico and the USA, finally reaching Canada.
