ArcelorMittal Tubarão triples the number of wheel-washers
Wheel-washers are devices that contribute to preventing particulate matter from being dragged around ArcelorMittal Tubarão by vehicles and the wind.
The company has recently invested R$6.1 million to install 12 new wheel-washers tripling the number of units in the plant.The new devices have been installed at the material storage yards exit. In total, the company has now 18 wheel-washers thus expanding the control over resuspended particles resulting from the traffic of vehicles.
This initiative is also part of the Evoluir Program. The video shows how the new system works inside the company to reduce air emissions.
