Coke Screening dedusting system improvements
Aiming to expand and improve the Coke Screening Dedusting System, ArcelorMittal Tubarão invested R$252 thousand. The project was recently concluded and is one step ahead in ArcelorMittal Tubarão’s environmental control.
The investment also helps the compliance with targets 59 and 129 of the Environmental Commitment Agreement reiterating company efforts towards getting more sustainable solutions.
Among the activities developed for such solutions are the replacement of almost nine tons of ducts, the resizing of 8 out of 14 catchment points, the improvement of belt conveyors and screens enclosure, and the implementation of other improvement actions.
In these times of Covid-19 pandemic, it is worth mentioning that the teams have followed strict prevention and safety protocols recently adopted by the company on top of all the safety regulations already in place. The project was carried out with no safety occurrences.
