Evoluir App is launched in an event at the Public Ministry
ArcelorMittal Evoluir App was launched on Wednesday (August 14) by ArcelorMittal Brasil CEO, Benjamin Baptista Filho, in a formal event of the Environmental Commitment Agreement Follow-up Committee taking place at the State Public Ministry
The event was attended by the Prosecutor and president of the Environment Defence Operational Support Centre - Marcelo Lemos Vieira, the Attorney General - Eder Pontes da Silva, the president of the State Environment and Water Resources Institute - Alaimar Fiuza, and the state Governor - Renato Casagrande.
The digital tool was created to share the Environmental Commitment Agreement actions in an easy and transparent way. The full menu makes it possible to read the latest news, see the targets and guidelines per area and monitor the development, as well as the video and photo gallery showing the actions being implemented.
For the ArcelorMittal Brasil CEO, Benjamin Baptista Filho, the agreement was built on a transparent dialogue, a clear demonstration of the search for solutions to improve air quality in the Greater Vitória region. “The app will make all the information on the environmental agreement accessible to the public. Anyone can follow it up. We want to strengthen the trust the population have on the company showing the development of all commitments we have taken up in a fast and effective way. We are going to provide full transparency to our actions.”, highlights Benjamin.
The president of the Environment Defence Operational Support Centre – the prosecutor Marcelo Lemos Vieira emphasized the commitment of the companies towards completing the clauses of the agreement. “This product the ArcelorMittal is delivering today is extremely important to the monitoring of the agreement. It is a jump forward in the control of public environmental policies.”, he pondered.
The Attorney General, Eder Pontes da Silva, believes that the app gives power to the state population to monitor and demand results in real time for the agreement actions. “ArcelorMittal awareness and respect for social issues is something unquestionable. This legacy is very important. And the population is the real winner.”
The state governor, Renato Casagrande, highlights that the Environmental Commitment Agreement is robust, both in investments and results; and that the government, the institutions and the population are always looking for policies and actions to improve air quality in the Greater Vitória metropolitan area. “But we need to achieve this development preserving our natural resources, searching for environmental sustainability. And the app is another monitoring tool helping the entire population”.

The app called Evoluir ArcelorMittal is an innovative tool for the entire ArcelorMittal Group in the world, in over 60 countries. Its aim is to provide more transparency to the whole Environmental Commitment Agreement without missing on people interaction.
