Heat Recovery Coke plant gains new spraying system

ArcelorMittal Tubarão has just concluded another environmental management project.

The new Spraying System of the Heat Recovery Coke Plant has just started operation and will have a major role in the environmental control of the unit.

The conclusion of the project marks the final step of the action plan for the Environmental Commitment Agreement Target 79, which foresees the adjustment of the spraying system of the Coal Yard piles.

The new system includes spraying cannons for automatic spraying of polymers, polymer and water dosing and mixing tanks, pressurized system for higher efficiency, larger spraying radius and the formation of a mist that ensures correct application.

The implementation of the system will reinforce the yard environmental control acting in connection with other existing initiatives such as the wind fence.
The commitments taken upon in the Evoluir Program and the Environmental Agreement are all in progress, as well as all the necessary measures to ensure an increasingly safer environment.
