and dedication to environmental issues are part of ArcelorMittal Tubarão
day-to-day. Among the usual care, the company has developed an important work
to raise the awareness of the workers that transport and handle materials, such
as drivers and machine operators.
Own and contractors’
workers are taking part in a set of actions focused on environmental
responsibility doubling attention to traces of material left on the roads.
Reinforcing communication
actions, meetings with the people involved, training courses, awareness
campaigns and inspection intensification are some examples of the actions in
progress.
The initiative is also
part of the Sustainability Agents project, which aims
at raising environmental awareness.
