Behind ArcelorMittal Tubarão’s trajectory, there is a history of partnership and dedication of internal teams and partner companies.
And Tetra Tech, a leader in environmental management consultancy services, is one of them. The company has been working in the plant in the last six years providing support and developing environment-related actions; the work became more intense after the Environmental Commitment Agreement (TCA) was signed and the Evoluir Program was implemented. Besides periodical inspections by the State Environment and Water Resources Institute (IEMA), Tubarão also undergoes independent audits carried out by Tetra Tech. This support is of vital importance to ensure more credibility to the actions carried out, and to reach the goal of building a new level of air quality management.
