State Governor and his group of assistants visited ArcelorMittal Tubarão

The state governor, Renato Casagrande, visited ArcelorMittal Tubarão on October 28.

The main aim was to see the work being performed on Coke Plant coke oven battery 4 and the revamping work of Continuous Casting Machine 2, they also visited some areas of the company which have already undergone improvements mapped on the Environmental Commitment Agreement (TCA). The expectation is that the new environmental improvement investments generate over 1,600 hiring opportunities during the construction work, always prioritizing the local workforce.
 
Other authorities also took part in the visitation such as the State Environment secretary, Fabrício Machado; the president of the Environment and Water Resources Institute (IEMA), Alaimar Fiúza; IEMA technical director, Elias Alberto Morgan; and the Municipalities Articulation e Mobilization (SEG) undersecretary, Walter Rodrigues de Paula. The group was received by ArcelorMittal Brasil CEO, Benjamin Baptista Filho, ArcelorMittal Tubarão Operations VP, Erick Torres, and ArcelorMittal Tubarão Commercial VP, Eduardo Zanotti. The visited contributes to strengthen the determination of the company to meet all the targets established in the TCA focusing on the wellbeing of the Society through the reduction of particulate matter emissions.
