Storage yard deactivated and stored material is to be recycled
The refractory residues stored in one of ArcelorMittal Tubarão storage yards are now receiving sustainable disposal.
After a comprehensive assessment, the company entered a partnership with a local supplier and signed a sales and purchase agreement which has a recycling and proper disposal stipulation. The partnership includes all refractory residues generated by the company production processes and the first part of the agreement was concluded at the end of April, a week ahead of schedule. This made it possible to deactivate one of the company yards which stored 15,052 m³ of material.
