Strategic Paving Plan: two more areas completed
ArcelorMittal Tubarão completed another step of the Strategic Paving Plan. This week, during a Managerial Gemba (inspection), the paving works on Slab Yard 4 and Coils Yard BQ-6 were concluded.
This step resulted in the paving of 34,400sqm and the generation of 47 job posts during the works conducted by Tracomal, a local partner company.
The Strategic Paving Plan is one of the items in the Environmental Commitment Agreement – TCA and part of the Evoluir Program which includes a set of adjustment actions on roads and yards in order to prevent the resuspension of particles caused by the wind and vehicle traffic. Despite the restrictions and challenges posed by the pandemic, the project is in full development and ten areas have been completed so far.
All actions follow Covid-19 prevention and safety guidelines and protocols to preserve Health, Safety and Sustainability criteria.
