Two years of evolution, commitment, and results
On September 21, the signing of the Environmental Commitment Agreement (TCA) by ArcelorMittal Tubarão completed two years.
The agreement between the company and the State of Espirito Santo Government and the Federal and State Public Ministry has guided a set of actions, which can be monitored in this app, aiming to continuously improve the company environmental management.
The company’s commitment has already yielded significant results over the past two years. More than R$137 million, out of R$1.14 billion, have been invested so far, and 100 &percnt of the action plan estimated to be carried by September 2020 has already been concluded. This means that 66 &percnt of the 495 actions listed by the company to be concluded by 2023 have been completed in the first two years.
The TCA gave rise to the Evoluir Program, a group of initiatives the company has implemented, and which go beyond the commitments agreed upon with the government.
ArcelorMittal Tubarão environmental performance evolution reiterates the company commitment to all sectors, the population above all. In order to celebrate the accomplishments of the past two years, the company has prepared a special newsletter summarizing what has been done so far.
