Special devices to clean the belt conveyors
Continuing the presentation of the Belt Conveyors Strategic Plan, which aims to implement improvements to minimize belt conveyors and transfer towers particulate emissions, it is time to know another pillar of the investment.
We are talking about the installation of special cleaning systems in 35 belt conveyors at ArcelorMittal Tubarão. The devices are responsible for cleaning the belt when it passes under the bottom of the conveyor so that the material that remain stuck to the belt surface does not fall due to equipment vibration and movement. Thus, the material collected returns straight to the process preventing losses and particulate emissions. In order to reach the proposed goal, special self-adjustable scrapers, rotating brushes, motovibrators, and other special equipment will be used.
