Clean environment in the coke oven batteries
To keep the operating areas surrounding the Heat Recovery ovens clean is a commitment to the environment and is part of the actions in the Evoluir Program, developed and implemented by ArcelorMittal.
In the Heat Recovery Coke Plant area, the cleaning of the areas is constantly carried out, thus preventing fugitive emissions, material projection and the accumulation of particles on the floor.
Besides the cleaning, there is the maintenance of the sealing system of all the coke oven battery doors. This maintenance is critical to prevent fugitive emissions during the coking process.
The actions are aligned with the continuous search for sustainability, through the control and prevention of environmental risks.
