Belt conveyors strategic plan: the investments
The Belt Conveyors Strategic Plan is an initiative set up by ArcelorMittal Tubarão as another solution in the company’s air management strategy.
The project has been developed to implement improvements in the Transfer Belt Conveyors aiming to reduce particle emissions and prevent fall of material.
The plan comprises effective actions that have been in practice for four years and have been expanded after the signing of the Environmental Commitment Agreement and the implementation of the Evoluir Program.
The massive investments included in the plan have been divided into four main points. Being them: the enclosure of 34 Transfer Towers, the implementation of 12 dedusting systems, the implementation of 35 belt conveyor cleaning systems and the enclosure of 12 belt conveyors. Besides that, there are actions to improve covers, trays and side contention that have been carried out by the areas in charge of the equipment.
Today we are going to see how the Transfer Tower Dedusting System works. See how it works!
