government, registered a historical record in May.
After 16 years, the initiative has donated in a single month 103
thousand tons of Revsol and Revsol Plus, coproducts that come from the steel
making production process and are used as primary coating in municipal and
rural roads. The donation was made to 23 town halls in the state and to the
state of Espírito Santo Building and Roadway Department (DER-ES).
The Novos Caminhos program is present in 63 state municipalities
and have already donated over three million tons of coproducts since 2006 when
it started. The state of Espírito Santo counts on four Distribution Centres
(CDR) located in Alfredo Chaves, Marilândia, Cachoeiro de Itapemirim and
Jaguaré which serve the region they are located. The use of
Revsol and Revsol Plus on the roads has helped the farmers – particularly in
the rainy season, to gain more mobility, the communities to have more access to
public services, and the government to reduce rural roads maintenance costs.
