Risk is inherent to all business activities and, as a result, it must be periodically assessed and monitored. The ArcelorMittal Group has a global Risk Management policy and methodology, whose main activities are identification, assessment (impact and probability), treatment or response and monitoring.
In a proactive and transparent manner, risk maps of each business segment are periodically discussed and analyzed with the managers of key business processes and the Risk Management & Compliance Department. Other processes, such as Strategic Planning and Capex projects, also demand a risk analysis.
